Our beloved sister Wendy Ann Valere, (de Montbrun) (1942-2021) passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, with her children at her side.

Strong in her faith, she was a loving, kind, giving Mother and devoted wife and will always be remembered by all the lives she touched.

Rest in Peace, Wendy. We love you and miss you terribly.

Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

June 11, 1949 - December 26, 2019

Our beloved sister, Zenaida Illes, left us to be with the Lord on December 26. 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer and other illnesses.

Zenaida joined our DOI sisterhood on February 11, 2017. She was a devoted member who attended meetings and events regularly until her health started to fail. Even when Zenaida was not feeling well or was in the hospital undergoing her cancer treatments, her first gesture was to call and apologize for not being able to attend the DOI activities

Rest in Peace, Zenaida. We love you and miss you terribly.

Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Nilda Harrison

Purple and Yellow Pansies

May 26, 1942-May 31, 2016

Our beloved sister Nilda Harrison peacefully left us on May 31, 2016 to join her creator in heaven.  Nilda was the friendly face greeting all the parishioners before and after Sunday masses seated besides her table of beads and rosaries, helping the parish meet their fundraising goals for our new church.

We salute Nilda's efforts and she will be missed by her DOI sisters and the parishioners of St. Josephine Bakhita Parish.

Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
